09.30.14:

Hi all!  Can you believe it's the last day of September?  Where on Earth did it go???  The days are certainly getting shorter and chillier, soon the snow will start falling.  And snow means...  Christmas!!!

The concept of my Christmas card is rather simple:  I used CC Designs Bell Cutters with gold paper and a Paper Smooches embossed sentiment.
Making sure my little bells were lined up was the hardest part and probably took me way too long but I wanted them just right =)

Merry Monday 128:

Good morning all!  I hope your weekend was enjoyable.  Autumn is definitely here!

This week at Merry Monday, Katie has chosen a theme of stripes, polka dots (or both!) for your card!

I have been dying to dust off my Prismacolor pencils, so I did just that!

I inked up my CC Designs Meoples Noel stamp in Onyx Black VersaFine, coloured with Prismacolor pencils and mineral oil, added some old stash Echo Park paper and American Crafts twine.

I made a card like this a couple of years ago and happened to come across it, and decided to CASE myself =)

09.25.14:

Hi all!  I thought in lieu of Christmas being exactly three months away (heehee) I would celebrate the occasion with, you guessed it, a Christmas card =)

I started (my clean and layered card) with some of my favourite Reverse Confetti cuts and banner stamp, Doodlebug paper, stamped a Paper Smooches sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine, and finished it off with some Freckled Fawn and Studio Calico enamel dots.

I was actually going to make an Autumn card with The Card Concept's colour challenge, but thought I would take it a step further and make a Christmas card.  I wasn't sure how bright yellow would look on a Christmas card, but I think I made it work =)

Merry Monday 127:

Good morning all!  I hope your weekend was enjoyable - what a gorgeous couple of days!!

This week at Merry Monday, Kathy has chosen a BINGO theme for your card!

I chose sparkle, ribbon/twine, button/brad
and
sparkle, die cut, red (you of course only have to chose one row).

Unfortunately my beautiful gold shiny trim on the right of my tag looks black (but it's gold, I promise!)

I started with some of my favourite Reverse Confetti cuts with Authentique Joyous papers to make the tag, stamped a Hot Off the Press sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine, and finished off with some Lawn Fawn sequins.

Merry Monday 126:

Good morning all!  I am still missing being in my craft room - there have been so many real life things that have been keeping me busy these past few months.  I am off work for a week so hopefully I will find time to enjoy a bit more crafting.

This week at Merry Monday, Karren has chosen the theme of making the sentiment the star of your card.

I went with a real simple style and the card came together lickity-split!  I used a Anna Griffin vellum sticker, framed it with cardstock, used a bit of Authentique Joyous paper, and added a few Doodlebug sequins to finish it off.

09.13.14:

Hi all!  I was able to sneak away into my craft room today.  I hate to blog and run, but it is another busy day around here.

I am looking forward to some soon-to-be down time as I'm feeling like a stranger in BlogLand and can't wait to spend more time creating.

Today I am sharing a CAS card with lots of fun colour!!  I started with some of my new Reverse Confetti cuts, finished with a super fun Paper Smooches Many Thanks sentiment and Studio Calico enamel dots.

Merry Monday 125:

Good morning all!  I haven't gotten a chance to spend as much time in my craft room this past week as we are trying to get as much done in our yard before the snow starts flying.  It is supposed to get grossly cold this coming week.

This week at Merry Monday, Debbie has chosen the theme of using some type of transportation/vehicle on your card.

I will admit I struggled with this theme.  My first attempt was complete, I took one look at it, and thought - hate it! LOL

So this is my secound attempt and I think it works:  a simple vintage card.

Merry Monday 124:

Good morning all!!  Happy Labour Day!  I hope you have been enjoying your long weekend.  If you don't have a long weekend, well I hope you are just enjoying your Monday =)

This week at Merry Monday, I have chosen the theme of using a gift/present on your card.

I have been trying to challenge myself with different styles of cards.  Today is shabby/vintage.

I saw this little girl vintage image and knew I just had to use it for this challenge (no link, but email me if you would like this image).  I inked, distressed, and tore all the paper edges;  this takes rather a lot of time, but worth it in the end!  I added some Wild Orchid flowers and gold crown pins, and finished it off with a Paper Smooches sentiment.

I would like to add this card to the following challenge:
jingle belles - Baby, it's GOLD outside (use gold)

08.30.14:

Hi all!  I hope you have been enjoying your weekend so far!  It rained a fair amount this morning which made it next to impossible to work outside on our deck (we don't have grass (yet) = MUD).  So the perfect opportunity presented itself - work in the craft room.  Yep.  I am down with that =)

I brought out more of my new goodies and started with My Favorite Things Diagonal Stripes stencil and Range Texture Paste.  I then layered Reverse Confetti Class Act series with Hero Arts inks and finished off the card with Freckled Fawn enamel dots.

08.29.14:

Good morning all!!  Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE long weekends??  Well it's true, I do!

I have been a bit on a craft spending spree so I have a lot of new products that are itching to be used.

Today I wanted to try something new, so I pulled out My Favorite Things Diagonal Stripes stencil and Range Texture Paste and created a small bit of texture on the base of my card.

I inked up my Altenew Label Love sentiment and my trusty Inkadinkadoo feather;  added some Freckled Fawn enamel dots and I tell you, it all came together rather quickly!

Merry Monday 123:

Good morning all!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did!

Uhmmm... only FOUR MORE MONTHS until Christmas!!

This week at Merry Monday, Bonnie has chosen the theme of using a wreath on your card.

I was so excited to ink up my new Avery Elle Winter Wreath set and I am thrilled how my card turned out.  I stamped on heavy watercolour paper to get some depth/aged feel to the wreath.  I then added it to some distressed green paper from Graphic 45, stuck on some wood grain enamel dots from Studio Calico, and viola!  Finished!!

08.24.14:

Hi all!  I hope you have been enjoying your weekend so far.  It is a cold, miserable day outside - which equals a perfect day crafting!!

Today I am sharing a CAS card, which came together rather quickly.  I sponged on the Simon Says Stamp! Moroccan stencil to create the background and gave my little Reverse Confetti lemon/limes some sponged ink shading.  I then finished the whole thing off with a Simon Says Stamp! sentiment and cut with a Reverse Confetti die.

I was going to add some embellishments, but decided to keep it simple.

I created this card for the following challenges:
The Card Concept - today my style is clean and simple

The Paper Players - sketch

AAA Cards - stencils

Have a super day - cheers!!!!

Merry Monday 122:

Good morning all!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend, nothing too exciting happened here.  Just working a bit more on our yard, trying to get it ready for grass.

This week at Merry Monday, Sue has chosen the theme of using black, gold, and silver on your card.

When it comes to my card making style I am usually *all over the map*.  I love all things CAS, shabby, vintage, clean and layered, trendy (and so on);  basically I just like anything that looks NICE.

I am surprised I have been making card for almost 10 years now, which is so unlike me to stick with something that long.  I think I would get bored making one style all the time so mixing things up is my recipe for success.

As you can see, I decided to go CAS on this one =)
