10.28.14:

Good morning!  As you can see, I am on a Christmas card roll...

I started with one of my old favourites, StampFairy's Jake (StampFairy just closed their doors - so sad), coloured with Prismacolor Pencils, and the MFT Die-Namics LLD Notepad die.  I thought I would have with the paper so I choose a sheet from the Doodlebug Santa Express collection.  I finished off my Jake card with American Crafts twine, a Tim Holtz Christmas word band, and Doodlebug and Recollections enamel dots.

Merry Monday 132:

Good morning all!  It's supposed to be our first snow day of the season, so 'tis the Season =)

This week at Merry Monday, Lesley has chosen the theme of using snowflakes, dry embossing, and neutrals on your card!

This is LeAnne's last week at Merry Monday.  She has been a part of the team since the very beginning and will be very missed.  I wish you all best LeAnne!!

I used random kraft scraps, dry embossed a simple border, and added a Recollections frame around an old Christmas tree ornament from my old tree =)

I finished it off with MME Vintage Finds papers and a Paper Smooches sentiment in Brilliance Coffee Bean attached with a Studio Calico clothespin.

10.25.14:

Good morning all!  I just had to make a Christmas card today in lieu of it being two months until Christmas Day!

I again started with some of my favourite Reverse Confetti cuts and banner stamp, Pink Paislee Snow Village paper, stamped a Paper Smooches sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine, and filled my vellum shaker with Darice sequins.  I finished my card off with American Crafts twine and Recollections dots (from my stash).

I have been having a lot of fun with vellum shaker cards, I like that they don't carry static like acetate does.

Merry Monday 131:

Good morning all!

This week at Merry Monday, Lori has chosen the theme of using non-traditional colours for your card!

A walk in the park for me - I love anything non-traditional.  My Christmas tree will be decorated in purple, lime green, hot pink, and teal - looks so pretty!!!  Then again, I have always been a little bit different =)

I started with some of my favourite Reverse Confetti cuts and banner stamp (I seem to start every card this way), Crate Paper Bundled Up papers, and stamped a Paper Smooches sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine.  I finished off the card with Doodlebug enamel dots.

Good evening all - it was rather a relaxing weekend with time spent in my craft room (my favourite kind of time!)

Yesterday I made a fun little shaker card and decided to do the some today.

I again started with some of my favourite Reverse Confetti cuts and banner stamp (can't wait until the November new releases!!!), Crate Paper Bundled Up papers, stamped a Paper Smooches sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine, and filled my vellum shaker with Darice sequins.  I finished my tag off with American Crafts twine and Celebrate It! jingle bells.

Good evening all!  I have to keep this short and sweet as I have a date with my husband, so I must blog and run!!

I started with some of my favourite Reverse Confetti cuts and banner stamp, Doodlebug Santa Express paper, stamped a Paper Smooches sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine, and finished it off with some Freckled Fawn, Doodlebug and Studio Calico enamel dots.

I knew the MFT Die-Namics LLD Notepad would be the perfect complement to the sketch, filled it with Darice sequins, and added some vellum for the window.

Good morning all!  I hope you all stuffed your faces with turkey on this Canadian Thanksgiving weekend =)  It was such a seasonal warm weekend - absolutely gorgeous!

With all this warm weather, it certainly doesn't feel like Autumn.  I was inspired by the sunshine while making this card.

I started with with inking Avery Elle So Happy in Imperial Purple VersaFine, Memento Elderberry, Baby Blue and Indigo VersaColor, and Hero Arts Field Greens.  I also stamped the So Happy sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine.  I finished it off with a Simply Tags:  Everday from Avery ElleAmerican Crafts twine, and Darice sequins.

Merry Monday 130:

Good morning all!  Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all my Canadian friends.

This week at Merry Monday, LeAnne has chosen the theme of "Silent Night" for your card!

I chose a vintage image (unfortunately not linked on Pinterest), if anyone is interested, I can email you the image =)

I used Graphic 45's 12 Days of Christmas paper and added a KaiserCraft rub-on with a Reverse Confetti cut and banner stamp.  I finished it off with Memory Box Star of Wonder dies and stitching.  Bingo bango - done!

CTS Guest Designer:

Good morning all!  I have been so excited to share my news with you all, I was the winner at CAS(E) this Sketch #90 (with this lil number)!!!  Which in it's self is pretty darn exciting, but as a winner, I was asked to be a guest designer for this week's sketch - skwwwweeeeee!

Isn't N@ Ali's CTS #96 super fantastic!?!?!?!?!?

I started with some of my favourite watercolour paper by Strathmore (140lbs - so nice and heavy!!).  Now of course I didn't do a watercolour technique, but I just love using this paper for any paper crafting.  I paired it was some Doodlebug Santa Express paper, added Paper Smooches sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine, and finished it off with American Crafts twine, Studio Calico enamel dots, and Doodlebug Beetle Black sequins.  Oh, and I can't forget the Double Edge Scallop Reverse Confetti Cut border and my little cork arrows (which I punched out with a friends punch, but can't remember the name of the punch)!

Don't forget to see all the talented peeps over at CAS(E) this Sketch! Always inspirational!!

Merry Monday 129:

Good morning all!

This week at Merry Monday, Kristie has chosen a theme of using neon on your card!

I must admit, I rather excited for this challenge as I love neon - takes me back to my childhood.  I remember wearing one neon blue sock and one neon pink sock and thinking I was the coolest thing ever =)

I started with inking Avery Elle Winter Wreath set with Hero Arts Neon Green and Neon Pink inks, then added a Reverse Confetti So Stripey border in the Neon Pink ink, and finished off with some sequins.

09.30.14:

Hi all!  Can you believe it's the last day of September?  Where on Earth did it go???  The days are certainly getting shorter and chillier, soon the snow will start falling.  And snow means...  Christmas!!!

The concept of my Christmas card is rather simple:  I used CC Designs Bell Cutters with gold paper and a Paper Smooches embossed sentiment.
Making sure my little bells were lined up was the hardest part and probably took me way too long but I wanted them just right =)

Merry Monday 128:

Good morning all!  I hope your weekend was enjoyable.  Autumn is definitely here!

This week at Merry Monday, Katie has chosen a theme of stripes, polka dots (or both!) for your card!

I have been dying to dust off my Prismacolor pencils, so I did just that!

I inked up my CC Designs Meoples Noel stamp in Onyx Black VersaFine, coloured with Prismacolor pencils and mineral oil, added some old stash Echo Park paper and American Crafts twine.

I made a card like this a couple of years ago and happened to come across it, and decided to CASE myself =)

09.25.14:

Hi all!  I thought in lieu of Christmas being exactly three months away (heehee) I would celebrate the occasion with, you guessed it, a Christmas card =)

I started (my clean and layered card) with some of my favourite Reverse Confetti cuts and banner stamp, Doodlebug paper, stamped a Paper Smooches sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine, and finished it off with some Freckled Fawn and Studio Calico enamel dots.

I was actually going to make an Autumn card with The Card Concept's colour challenge, but thought I would take it a step further and make a Christmas card.  I wasn't sure how bright yellow would look on a Christmas card, but I think I made it work =)

Merry Monday 127:

Good morning all!  I hope your weekend was enjoyable - what a gorgeous couple of days!!

This week at Merry Monday, Kathy has chosen a BINGO theme for your card!

I chose sparkle, ribbon/twine, button/brad
and
sparkle, die cut, red (you of course only have to chose one row).

Unfortunately my beautiful gold shiny trim on the right of my tag looks black (but it's gold, I promise!)

I started with some of my favourite Reverse Confetti cuts with Authentique Joyous papers to make the tag, stamped a Hot Off the Press sentiment in Onyx Black VersaFine, and finished off with some Lawn Fawn sequins.

Merry Monday 126:

Good morning all!  I am still missing being in my craft room - there have been so many real life things that have been keeping me busy these past few months.  I am off work for a week so hopefully I will find time to enjoy a bit more crafting.

This week at Merry Monday, Karren has chosen the theme of making the sentiment the star of your card.

I went with a real simple style and the card came together lickity-split!  I used a Anna Griffin vellum sticker, framed it with cardstock, used a bit of Authentique Joyous paper, and added a few Doodlebug sequins to finish it off.
