Blue + White Shaker

Today's Ramblings: The weekend is over and it's back to work time - booooooo! Such a gloomy and cold weekend too - booooo! Oh well, what can you do? Craft then maybe?

I made #21 and #22 of the year for Christmas cards. I am trying to make 5 a month (but got side-tracked in January). Unfortunately, I ran out of time and had to make two of the same cards.

I started with Lenny Christmas {found here}. Though it looks like I put him in jammies, he is really supposed to look Santa-ish:

This is my first time making a "traditional" shaker card. I would do a few things different if I were to take on this challenge again.

At first I had so many beads that you could barely see the tip of Lenny's hat - so I had to open it up and dump out beads and they went flying everywhere!
Card Ingredients:
StampFairy digi; KI Memories papers; Recollections cardstock; Copics; Gelly Roll white pen; Circle and Label Three Nesties; Stampendous! Kaleidoscope glitter; Inkssentials Glossy Accents; Dress It Up buttons, Creatology beads; recycled acetate.

I made Lenny Christmas for the following Christmas challenges:

Have a lovely Monday!

SSW 103 - Stamping Boutique

Today's Ramblings: How can it possibly be the last Wednesday of the month?!?!?! It is already 7 months until Christmas. I know, I know, I said the 'C' word - sorry!

We have had a few cooler days with a frost advisory last night. I had to bring in my flower planters as I didn't want them to catch a cold :) I laugh now, but on Sunday I thought I killed my $100 flowers to a very cold day - I almost had a heart attack - no worries though, they have bounced back with some sunshine.

Today's DT Challenge: A new Wednesday brings a new Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Our Sponsor:
The Stamping Boutique! Tracey will be giving one lucky winner 5 digis of their choice!

I used Tulip Fairy {found here}:

I paper pieced this whole image - it was a lot of work - but I trust my paper piecing skills better than my coloring skills :)
Card Ingredients:
The Stamping Boutique
digi; KI Memories papers; Recollections cardstock; Copics; Square Nestie; Stampendous! Pink Ultra Fine, Martha Stewart Golden Beryl and Turquoise glitters; turquoise floss; Dress It Up button.

Meet Cowboy Piggy

Today's Ramblings: The crowd goes wild as Blogger is now fixed! It's funny what we take for granted and expect things just to work. Just this week our hot water was down for half a day and all I could think of was that I had to run the dishwasher, have a shower, and do some laundry. I took Blogger being down in stride though, I looked at it as a forced time off sort of thing :)

Today's DT Challenge: StampFairy's New Release Cowboy Piggy:

Isn't he just the cutest????
Card Ingredients:
StampFairy digi; Bazzill and Recollections cardstock; Copics, Gelly Roll white pen; Label Eight Nesties; Dress It Up buttons; hemp twine.

I made Piggy for the following challenges:

You can find the rest of the Cowboy Pig collection and Friday Freebie {here}:

Have a wonderful Friday and I hope you have lots of sunshine in your side of the world.

Love the pink/green colour combo on your card & those little butterflies are so cute! Great sketch too, congrats on reaching 100! Hmmm my favorite technique I think would be embossing. Thanks for the chance to win your fab candy. I'm in Canada but we have a cabin in the US so I could use it there! So nice to see another fellow Cdn Blogger :)

Congrats Crystal - lucky duck! Please find the "Contact Me" button on the right hand side of my blog.
