StampFairy Recipe Challenge

Today's Ramblings:
What a gloomy weekend, just what we needed - more rain. I suppose it worked somewhat in our favor as we started the tedious tiling of our kitchen backsplash all day yesterday. Between that and computer issues, I almost didn't get this post up today.

Today's DT Challenge: The new theme at StampFairy Challenge is a recipe: a teddy bear, 2 ribbons, 3 flowers, and a sentiment.

I used Thank You Lenny (which is a freebie found here):

I made Lenny bright and sunshiny and sprayed him with some glimmer:

Card Ingredients:
StampFairy digi; KI Memories papers; Recollections cardstock; Gelly Roll white pen; Smooch Vanilla Spritz; Primas Dress It Up buttons; Celebrate It ribbons; Recollections pearl, pink floss.

I made Lenny for the following challenges:

Well I hate to blog and run, but I better get back to the kitchen renos. Good thing I took this week off!

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Paul & Pauline

Good morning to all my blogging buddies. Happy Thursday!!

Today I am the host and feature blogger over at StampFairy World (it's sounds like I am really important, right?) You can check out my post {here}.

I will give you a sneakie-peakie of my StampFairy creation featuring Paul and Pauline:

It took me two days to make this card as I wasn't pleased with the first outcome. But in the end, I can now hold my head up high :)

Have a wonderful Thursday!

StampFairy Challenge - Sketch #6

Today's Ramblings: Yuck! What a dreary weekend and it's continuing into the week. We had some pretty bad wind on Friday night as well, our patio umbrella got picked up and thrown into my flower garden. It only managed to break a stepping stone and didn't damage any of my flowers. Unfortunately my flower basket got turned over, but nothing a little sunshine can't fix.

On another note, today is a good day - wanna know why??

It's my 35th birthday! Is it weird that a grown woman (uhm, that's me, though I've never referred to myself as a woman) gets excited about birthdays?? Oh well, that's how I stay young :)

Today's DT Challenge: The new theme at StampFairy Challenge is a sketch!

I started with Lenny Winter {found here}:

For an early birthday gift, my husband bought me some more Copics to add to my collection:

Card Ingredients:
StampFairy digi; Recollections cardstock; Copics; Gelly Roll white pen; Label Eight Nesties; Martha Stewart Crystal tinsel glitter; Dress It Up buttons; Celebrate It ribbon; Recollections pearls.

I made Lenny for the following challenges:

Have a wonderful day!

Meet the Little Pirates

Today's Ramblings: Good morning Friday!! I can't express how much I love the weekends!! Hopefully we get a bit of sunshine. It was such a busy week, I just realized I didn't make any Christmas cards - so just a head's up: you'll be seeing a lot of Christmas cards for the rest of the month ;)

Today's DT Challenge:
StampFairy's New Release Pirates:

Put on your sunglasses for this bright one!

My new sewing machine decided to poop out on me half way through my card. Unbeknownst to me, I am a sewing machine fixer, took me a half hour, but I got it fixed!Card Ingredients:
StampFairy digi; Recollections papers; Recollections cardstock; Copics; Circle and Beaded Circle Nesties; Dress It Up buttons; white floss.

I made this pirate card for the following challenges:

You can find the rest of the pirate gang {here}:

Baseball Lenny

Today's Ramblings: Half way through the week! I have a week of a "stay-cation" coming up soon and I sooooooo need it. What's a stay-cation?? An at home vacation. It will be so nice to do nothing.

I made another Father's Day card - this one is for my father-in-law.

I used Lenny Father's Day {found here}:

I am super happy how this card turned out. When I was wrestling with this "stop sign" card, I was ready to throw it in the garbage! Those angles really had me stumped!

My new favorite thing - giving everything a "once-over" with my sewing machine:
Card Ingredients:
StampFairy digi; KI Memories and Recollections papers; Recollections cardstock; Copics.

I made Baseball Lenny for the following challenges:

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Also this weekend is Father's Day, with that in mind, I made a card for my Grandpa. It needs to go in the mail this morning if I want him to receive it in time.

Meet Peeker Nelly

Today's Ramblings: Good morning - this will have to be real quick - this week has been crazy busy and so will this weekend. I am sorry if I haven't been around to see all your beautiful creations, but I promise things will be back to "normal" next week. It's been so crazy that I had to BUY a wedding card - can you BELIEVE THAT!?!?!?

Today's DT Challenge: StampFairy's New Release Peeker Nelly:

Sometimes I have a bad habit of adding a much-too-large-bow, and that habit came back for this card. I hardly stands, let alone will fit in an envelope - silly me!
Card Ingredients:
StampFairy digi; KI Memories papers; Bazzill and Recollections cardstock; Copics; Gelly Roll white pen; Circle and Beaded Circle Nesties; Martha Stewart Turquoise glitter; Celebrate It ribbon; Dress It Up buttons; twine.

ABC Christmas - Gingy

Today at ABC Christmas Challenge is a new fortnight challenge: Red, Green, and Silver with some Love

I have been asked (okay, I volunteered, but it sounds so much better to be asked) to be a guest designer for this week's challenge. StampFairy is sponsoring the challenge so there will be some really cute digis up for grabs.

I used this cutie from Gingerbabies Bakery, whom I have nick-named Gingy {found here}:

How many layers is this card you ask (though you probably don't). Fourteen layers!! And that's not including the inside. With all that heavy paper and stitching this card is a heavyweight!

I made a little pocket inside to put a gift card or cash in. (and that is 4 layers inside)
I didn't know where to end with the stitching so I just ending up stitching everywhere.Card Ingredients:
StampFairy digi; DCWV papers; Bazzill and Recollections cardstock; Copics; Gelly Roll white pen; Martha Stewart Crystal glitter; Inkssentials Glossy Accents; Fiskars Threading Water border punch.

I made Gingy for the following Christmas challenges:
I hope my card brought a smile to your face, as I love me some good ol' fashioned cuteness.

"Communion" Linda

Today's Ramblings:
Bah - I don't much care for Mondays. Derek tells me only 25 more years until retirement. Hopefully it will only feel like 23 *heehee* Oh well, such is life. I am hoping that this week brings lots and lots of sunshine, as my flower garden is in desperate need of it. I guess it could be worse: I hear to the West of us, they got dreaded Spring snow - yuck!

Alright, no more Monday blues...

I am so proud of the card I am sharing with you today - I LOVE bright and fun colors, so I took on the challenge of an all white card. Not only are all white cards very difficult for me, but I find them very difficult to photograph too! Challenge excepted!!!!

I started with Wedding Linda {found here}, and took away her veil:

And I made her into a "Communion" Linda:

Card Ingredients:
StampFairy digi; Bazzill and Recollections cardstock; Copics; Gelly Roll white pen; Circle, Oval and Scalloped Oval Nesties; Fiskars Threading Water border punch; Martha Stewart Crystal and Stampendous! Kaleidoscope glitters; Dress It Up buttons; Recollections pearls; white floss.

I made Linda for the following challenges:
Have a wonderful Monday and I will see you all again mid-week.
