Emma's Christmas Wishes:

Looking for my Papercraft post?  Please go here.

You still have one more week to get your projects in at All That Scraps.  And again, this week is anything goes.  But please do remember, your project must include an image sold at the All That Scraps Store.

I'm not sure what was wrong with me, I blame it on a bad tooth (heehee) but I just couldn't get this card together.  It just wasn't working and I was indecisive about everything.  I dislike those days very much.

I used Emma and gave her the cutest winter outfit - oh polka dots!!!!!  Such a wonderful thing.

I didn't have a matching pom pom, so I coloured it with a Copic marker and now it fits - Copics are amazing for that kind of stuff.  I use them on gems and pearls too.

My cheese cloth (yay!) and coloured jute (yay!).  I love these both together!
Card Ingredients:  C.C. Designs stamp, Craftsmart Black ink, MME and Recollections papers, Recollections cardstock,  Prismacolor pencils,  American Crafts jute, Studio G glitter glue, Recollections pearls and pearl brad, Martha Stewart Garnet glitter, Tim Holtz metal tag, cheese cloth, Queen and Co Goosebump.  Tools: sewing machine, Circle Nesties, CC Designs Fence cutter, Making Memories edge ripper, mineral spirits and blending stumps.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Love to Create - layers, Cutie Pie - distressed but cute, Allsorts - stitching, 52 Christmas Card - diecuts, The Crazy Challenge - sketch:

Have a wonderful Halloween and I will see you all again tomorrow.  Cheers!

Warm Christmas Wishes:

Good morning all.

First I want to say I am thinking of all of you who have been hit by Sandy - I hope you are all safe and warm.  I've been watching this horrific event on tv and the internet and my heart goes out to all the victims.  Just devastating.

Secondly, happy Halloween.  No Halloween cards here today  :)
This will be the first year we don't hand out candy.  I am such a Halloween grouch hey?  With our renovations we still don't have a door bell and our youngest Chihuahua now doesn't like children.  She was so good last year when she was a puppy, she was so excited to see all the little trick-or-treaters.  This year she's like me:  an old grouch.

Thirdly, this week's challenge at Papercraft Star is Warm Beverages.

Of course I immediately thought of Christmas.  I LOVE hot chocolate with a splash of peppermint extract - yummers!!

I used a digi collage from The House Across the Bay, changed the color to a deep red, printed on vintage paper, and stacked them on top of each other so it would match my papers and shabby feel.  You'll also be seeing a lot of cheese cloth on my creations - love that too!!
Card Ingredients:  The House Across the Bay digis, Craftsmart Chocolate and Gold inks, Tin Holtz Frayed Burlap distressing ink, MME Christmas papers, Recollections pearls, American Crafts jute, cheese cloth, KaiserCraft lace, small Christmas tree ornament.  Tools:  sewing machine, Fiskars paper crimper, Shapabilities, Making Memories edge ripper.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Simon Says Stamp & Show - pearls, Stamps & Fun = Creativity - stitching, The Pink Elephant and Happy Campers - shabby.

 Have a wonderful Wednesday.

CAS Tree:

Good morning. Wowzers - sometimes 5:45 just comes a bit too early.  I could use a couple more hours of sleep.

*Yawn*

I had a busy weekend, but knew I wanted to make a quick card.  Usually quick cards take me a couple hours but this one was under an hour.  The longest part was trying to get that triangle cut out just right.  It looks simple enough but not for me LOL.

I used some new MME Christmas paper I just bought - love the jewel tones!
Card Ingredients:  The Graphics Fairy digi, MME Christmas paper, DCWV and Recollections cardstock, American Crafts jute.  Tools:  EK Success corner punch.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Christmas Card Challenges - pop it up, Tammy's Scrapin' Corner - anything, CAS(E) This Sketch - sketch and Graphics Fairy Brag Monday.

Have a most wonderful Monday!

Dotty's Christmas:

Good morning - here we are at Friday, sweet Friday.  I don't have too much planned this weekend, just puttering around in the craftroom hopefully.

I tried really hard to make a boy and girl version of my Christmas card.  I should have known I couldn't complete two cards in one sitting.  Heck, I was lucky I complete this one!  This was a three hour kind of card, and I even paper pieced her little outfit to save time!

Can you believe Christmas is less than two months away.  *Squeals*

I made Dotty a sweet little star outfit.  She's just waiting for Santa to come down the chimney:

I picked up these new MME Christmas papers - so pretty!  I am thinking of going back and buying more!

And I added a couple of matching flags - you know me:  Miss matchy-matchy!
Card Ingredients:  StampFairy digi, MME papers, Recollections and Bazzill cardstock, Prismacolor pencils, Gelly Roll white pen, Craftsmart Chocolate and Gold inks, Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap distress ink, random flowers (received as a gift), Recollections gems, Wilton doily.  Tools:  mineral spirits and blending stumps, sewing machine, Making Memories edge ripper, C.C. Designs Leafy Branch cutters.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Christmas Challenges - sketch and flags/banner, Cupcake Crafts - paper piecing, Polka Doodles - Christmas and kraft, Brown Sugar - anything goes, Crafty Ribbons - Christmas, Delightful Challenges - stitching.

Don't forget, it's StampFairy's new release Friday - meet Barry Circles:

Have a super wonderful Friday - thanks for the visit!

It's a Shell-abration:

Wowza - someone get me some coffee!  I'm all glossy-eyed and staring at the wall.  Note to self:  blink!

This week StampFairy is sponsoring Cute Card Thursday's Something Scary challenge.

Does Barry look scary in his lobster suit - probably not.  But he sure looks cute!

I've put Barry in a shimmery lobster suit though it is a bit hard to tell.  And googly eyes - come on - aren't those the best invention ever!?
Card Ingredients:  StampFairy digi, Echo Park papers, Recollections cardstock, Prismacolor pencils, Celebrate It ribbon, Creatology googly eyes.  Tools:  mineral spirits and blending stumps, sewing machine, Rectangle Nestie, C.C. Designs Bubble cutters.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Crafty Creations - Halloween spooks, Kaboodle Doodles and Tip Top Tuesday - Halloween, Tammy's Scrapin' Corner - Trick or Treat, Sunday Sketch & Stamp - sketch:

TOP TIP Tippy:  Even if you don't "celebrate" Halloween doesn't mean you can't make Halloween-type cards.  I used a trick-or-treat image, but got creative with the sentiment.  I don't much care for Halloween (gasp) and don't hand out Halloween cards, but I will be able to use this card for pretty much anything. I have someone's birthday in mind for this one :)

That's it for me today - have a wonderful Thursday!

I have been itching to use this super cutie Lucy Elf - there is just something about her sweet hat and stockings that makes me giggle.

Witch's Dream:

Good morning friends - we had to dig out the shovel yesterday after work.  The snow is here!  I *almost* used my car command-start yesterday too - if you don't know what that is, then you are lucky.  It means you don't have long cold winters like we do ;)

(Command-start is a remote that turns on your car and warms up the engine. You can do it from the comfort of a warm house, work, or mall.  A must-have when you live in Saskatchewan.)

Okay, it's not that cold (yet).  -4 C (24 F) is nothing we can't handle.

This week's challenge at Papercraft Star is Halloween witches.
It's hard to believe Halloween is just one short week away.  I'll be honest, I don't like Halloween (sorry!). Actually the only reason I would like Halloween is because the following day is full-on Christmas mode.  Stores start decorating for Christmas;  lots of Christmas-y things are being put out.  SO EXCITING!!  We've already had our Thanksgiving, so there is nothing standing in our way!

Too much talking today...

I printed this freebie digi on pattern paper, something I like to do to give the image a different look.  I like this witch, she almost has Mother Goose look to her.
Card Ingredients:  The Graphics Fairy digi, Recollections cardstock, DCWV papers, Recollections pearls, Celebrate It ribbon, Prima flower, Tim Holtz paper ticker, paper doily.  Tools:  sewing machine, Making Memories edge ripper, CC Designs Phlox cutters.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Ribbon Carousel - Halloween with ribbon, Digi Haven - use Halloween freebie digi, Scrap Creations and Tuesday Throwdown - Halloween, Sentimental Sundays - Halloween with sentiment.

Thanks for getting this far - that was a lot of jibber-jabber from myself.

Snow Loving Toby:

Good morning all!  I hope you have been enjoying your week so far.  It has been crazy busy here plus next week is November - crazy!!!!!  We are in the middle of our first winter "storm."  It's considered a storm because it's the first of the season (otherwise it would be any other normal winter day).  We are expected to get 10-15 cm (about 4-6 inches) of snow.  Bring out the mittens, boots, and snow shovels - winter is here!!!!

This week StampFairy is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches' sketch challenge:

In keeping with the snow theme, I used Toby who is enjoying the snow as well!

Card Ingredients:  StampFairy digi, DCWV and Echo Park papers, Prismacolor pencils, Recollections cardstock, CraftSmart Turquoise ink and Recollections Sky Blue chalk ink, Celebrate It ribbon, Recollections snowflakes and gems.  Tools:  mineral spirits and blending stumps, sewing machine, Fiskars Snowflake border punch, EK Success Corner punch, Circle Nesties.

Christmas Girl:

Good morning all.  I could use a little more sleep or more coffee, I guess I will go with more coffee :)

Autumn is certainly upon us.  It's now below freezing at nights and the sun is no where to be seen right now (at 6:15AM).  Don't get me wrong, I love winters but... it makes it just a bit more tougher to get out of bed when it's pitch black outside :)

Winter also brings Christmas - the most wonderful time of the year!!  Just a couple more short months and it will be upon us!

I used this sweet freebie and printed her on vintage pattern paper.
Card Ingredients:  The Graphics Fairy digi, DCWV cardstock, Tim Holtz and DCWV papers, Recollections pearl brad, Celebrate It ribbon, Recollections poinsettia, Recollections gems.  Tools:  sewing machine, Making Memories edge ripper, CC Designs Leafy Branch cutters.

I made this card for the following challenges:   DYSU? - vintage, Holly Jolly - photo inspiration, Merry Monday - sketch, Cute Card Thursday - glittery, little red wagon - bows, Totally Gorjuss - traditional Christmas colors.

I merged two little Gingies together and kept the card simple, but with lots of layers.

NOEL Gift Card Holder:

Looking for my Papercraft Star post?  You can find it here.

Between making cards and renovating my bathroom, I don't have much time to do anything else.  Tonight I am stopping it all and going......  wait for it.... grocery shopping!  Wahoooo - isn't that exciting *sigh*  And the real reason I am going grocery shopping is so I can pick up my medication, so while I am there I will put some food in my cart LOL.

It's a new fortnightly challenge at All That Scraps.  This week is ABC (Anything But a Card) Challenge.  But please do remember, your project must include an image sold at the All That Scraps Store.

I tried something different and made a gift card holder - I apologize for the weird photos as this project was very difficult to photograph.

It is supposed to look like a Christmas present - but again, I used ginormous ribbon.  It looks like it's about to snack on my gift card holder, and you can't see the sweet lil gift.  Oh well :)

I used a new cutie, Meoples Snow Noel and hid them on the inside.

I am not that talented when it comes to coloring snow so if you are wondering if these little snowmen were playing in dirty snow then yes, that is what they were doing :)
Card Ingredients:  C.C. Designs stamp, Craftsmart Black ink, My Mind's Eye papers, Recollections cardstock,  Prismacolor pencils,  American Crafts jute, Candy Cane Stickles, recycled Christmas tree ornament  Tools: sewing machine.

I made this card for the following challenges:  Cute Card Thursday - lots of ribbon, Party Time Tuesdays - anything but a card.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting!
