Christmas Cheer:

Good morning all!  Well I have to say I am a little excited - this will be my last post until the third week in September.  We are officially on vacation starting tomorrow and off to Alaska :)

But before I go, I have my Josie card to share with you.  A little secret:  I actually started this card two years ago, yes two.  Yes, years.

Josie was stamped, paper pieced, and half coloured for me/by me when I took her out of my folder.  Josie also reminded me that I would rather be colouring teddy bears, as I don't care to colour skin and hair :S

BTW:  Josie is the stamp :)
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: StampFairy Josie Christmas
Inks: Prismacolor pencils, Copics
Papers:  DCWV  'Tis the Season

Cardstock: Recollections
Bits/Bobs: Studio G glitter glue
Tools:  sewing machine, mineral spirits and blending stumps

I created this card for the following challenge:  Christmas Challenges w Sketches - sketch (do not display sketch).

That's it for me - enjoy the rest of your Summer!!!!!

 Crown Tassels Bling Colors Texture

My Inspiration:  crowns, of course :)

I have to admit, this was a huge undertaking.  I did a lot of research on the internet to come up with the perfect stiffening recipe.  Didn't really find any that I liked so I had to come up with my own.

I made these crowns for a couple that are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.

Crown Ingredients:  lace by the yard from Fabricland, vintage broches, Recollections gems, Elmer's white glue, Rustoleum Silver spray paint.

Barry Christmas Hugs:

Hmmmm... so it's not Friday???  Only two weeks (and one day) until our vacation, but who's counting ;)

Yesterday I posted how quickly Christmas was sneaking up on us, so I made a mental note to get back on the Christmas card making wagon.

I used Barry, knowing that he would make a great Christmas card.  I did have to "mask" the grass they were standing on to a plain black line.

My question to you is:  are teddy bears considered animals?  Or are they stuffies??

It took over an hour to colour as I am still sore and very slow, but I didn't want blue skies:

My teeny-tiny star embellishment:
Card Ingredients:
Stamps:  StampFairy Barry Best Friends
Inks: Prismacolour pencils
Papers:  DCWV 'Tis the Season
Cardstock:  Recollections
Bits/Bobs: random tree snowflake ornament, random star button

I created this card for the following challenges:  Christmas Challenges w Sketches - sketch (do not display sketch)/stars/snow(flakes), Winter Wonderland - cute Christmas, CCAYR - fussy/fancy, Sweet Christmas Stampin - winter animals.

Uplifting:

Good morning.  The good news:   it looks like Pixie is out of her clustered seizures for now.  The bad new:  she despises her new medications.  It's a wrestling match every day especially with my bad wrist and her wiggly little determination, but in the end I come out the champion ;)

Other good news:  it's Friday!!!

I originally was going to make a baby card, but while I was colouring Barry, I kept thinking how "uplifting" he is, so I added lots of red and a fun little saying:
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: StampFairy Barry Balloons
Inks:  Prismacolor pencils, Craftsmart Teal
Papers/Cardstock: MME Summer Splash, MME Gnome Sweet Gnome/American Crafts and Recollections cardstock

Baked Goods:

Good morning all.  It's been a rough go of it.  Our little Pixie is sick again and has been diagnosed with Epilepsy.  So sad, considering we thought she was doing better.  Now we have to be patient to see if her new medications will decrease the number of seizures she's been having.

She really is the sweetest and most snuggliest Chihuahua on Earth - true story :)

So Thankful:

Good morning all!  Well it looks like it's a beautiful day out there, hopefully it will stick for the rest of the long weekend.

I started and finished this card a couple of nights ago, but then decided it was "bla".  So Pixie and myself spent last night in the craft room adding more pizzazz back into this card.

The pizzazz is the glitter and Copic markers, which was made difficult because I have three levels on this card, which can't be seen at this camera angle and my battery is now dead.  Sorry folks.

By the way, can anyone recommend some good ink?  I can't stand the inks I have, they don't cover and smudge quite easily.

Card Ingredients:  JustRite Good Friends Labels Twenty-Nine stamps, Craftsmart Teal ink, K&Co papers, DCWV cardstock, Wild Orchard flowers, American Crafts jute, Recollections gems, Celebrate It ribbon.  Tools:  JustRite Vintage Labels Four die, Labels Twenty-Nine Nesties.

I created this card for the following challenge(s):  JustRite Friday Challenge - colour combo:

And Pixie is doing well, she hasn't had a seizure in over a month which is super fantastic!
This is her helping me with this card:

Have a great weekend!!
