October Stamp & Share Challenge:

Good morning all!  Here we are on the last Friday of October - I keep saying it, but where did this year go?!?  I just LOVE this time of year:  the snow starts flying, the hustle and bustle, the decorating, you guessed it - Christmas is just around the corner!!  I get excited every year =)

Speaking of Christmas, there is a new challenge over at the Skipping Stones blog:

I, of course, saw Christmas written all over this inspiration photo.  I know it's a bedroom but you just have to use your imagination!!

I started with Skipping Stones Joy using the corner flourish stamp.  Basically I stamped it many, many times (28 to be exact, but who is counting) to create my gold embossed background.  I also masked the flourish stamp to create a smaller pattern in the bare areas.  It really didn't take long once I figured out my pattern and it was SO worth it as it created a one of kind background!

I also masked the Skipping Stones Joy sentiment from two lines to one so it would fit on my tag.

I had so much fun creating this card and felt it needed a pizzazz-y bow too!

We would love to see what you create!  Come play along for your chance to win!  You can find the above stamps I used and more at Skipping Stones Design.

Thank you to Skipping Stones for having me this month as their Guest Designer.  It was a chance for me to meet new friends and use some new to me products!

Cheers all!  Have a great weekend!

Baby It's Cold:

Happy Tuesday all!  And yes, it is cold outside.  The snow decided to make an appearance today but it is basically melting when it hits the ground.  It is however time for mittens and scarves!!!

I used a number of different companies to complete my card today.  I always start with My Favorite Things Blueprints, I also added Die-namics Vertical Stitched Strips and Die-namics Cross-Stitch Circle STAX.  The sentiments are from Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler and Reverse Confetti Seasonal Sentiments.  Lastly I stamped and fussy cut some cute little mittens from Simon Says Stamp Big Holiday Wishes.

As you can see the card I created is using nothing but non-tradional colours which is my favourite kind of Christmas.  Actually... I like anything related to Christmas... who am I kidding.

I created this card for the following challenge:

The Paper Players

Have a fantastic Tuesday - cheers all!

Merry Monday 177:

Good morning all!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend.

This week at Merry Monday, Wendy has chosen the theme of using a LIGHTS and GLITTER on your Christmas card:

I was stumped.  I had nothing with Christmas lights.  I searched high and low in my craftroom but came up empty handed.  So I decided I better get really crafty, really quick =)

My light bulbs are made out of a lemon/lime die from Reverse Confetti Fresh 'n Fruity Confetti Cuts and the little black tops are little envelopes (that I scored) from Reverse Confetti North Pole Confetti Cuts.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Joyful Greetings and I also used some My Favorite Things Blueprints.

ETA:  I have looked high and low and can't find my lemon die cut now - so sad =(  I was going to make some more Christmas light cards.  Wahhhhh!

Needless to say, I love this card!  I love getting extremely crafty - so satisfying!!

Cityscapes:

Happy Thursday all and the weekend is almost upon us!!  Yeah!  Can you believe Halloween is next weekend already??!!??!  The time, she flies!!!

And with the end of October comes that "s" word.  Snow.  The forecast is calling for snow next week.

With snow as my inspiration I created an all white Christmas card!

I created quite a few layers with a little snowy cityscape using Paper Smooches Backdrop Builders.  I finished it off with a Paper Smooches Joyful Greeting sentiment and a few iridescent sequins.

I created this card for the following challenge:

Merry Monday 176:

Good morning all!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  I was feeling a bit under the weather but have seemed to bounce back pretty quickly - phew!

This week at Merry Monday, Sue has chosen the theme of using a FRAME on your Christmas card:

I was finally able to use my MFT Die-namics Stitched Cover-Up Companion that I purchased a few weeks back.  I have been itching to use it!  I filled up my vellum window shaker card with sequins and stamped a Paper Smooches Joyful Greetings sentiment.

Holiday Cheer Chickie:

I am on a Christmas card roll today!  Okay, this is only my second card of the day, but I feel like I kicked Christmas butt today =)

I used a bunch of Paper Smooches goodies including Cool Dudes Wise Dies and Cool Dudes clear stamps.  I used three sentiments from Paper Smooches Christmas Sampler that I stacked together and then heat embossed.  I finished off my little chickie with a bit of paper piecing =)

Santa's Favourite:

Happy Sunday!!! It is so nice to get back into the craft room as I have been under the weather this past week but I am feeling much better today!  Yeah!

I realized that Christmas is just around the corner, like seriously.  Where did the year go???  I need to high tail it into Christmas card making mode.  Pronto.

One of the reasons why I purchased My Favorite Things Jingle All The Way
was for this little cutie.  I just LOVE those piggy tales!

I coloured her with Prismacolor Premier pencils and paired her with bunches of My Favorite Things Blueprints, Cross-stitch Circle STAX, and Die-namics Stitched Snow Drifts.

I created this card for the following challenges:

Fusion - All Hallow's Eve:

Happy Thursday all!  Can you believe it is mid-October!??!!  Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone, the leaves have been blowing off the trees, and snow will soon by flying from the sky.

We have a fantastic new FUSION challenge for you - enjoy and have fun!!!!!

PROCEDURES:

1. Play with just the sketch challenge.
2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.
5. Please read the other considerations on the Our Rules Page before playing along.

I was inspired by the sketch.  I didn't want my card to come across as "Halloween'ie" because, I say it every year, but I don't much care for Halloween.  So instead of doing orange and black, I did coral and grey =)

I am all about Christmas.  Halloween just gets in the way ;)

I used some Reverse Confetti Confetti Cuts, MFT Die-namics STAX, and as always MFT Blueprints to complete my card.

Merry Monday 175:

Good morning all!  I hope you are enjoying your Canadian Thanksgiving long weekend!

This week at Merry Monday, Nina has chosen the theme of using a MOOSE on your Christmas card:

I inked up Reverse Confetti's Marley Moose again without colouring him.  Why?  Why not!!  He's just as cute stamped on patterned paper =)

I also paired him with a bunch of Reverse Confetti Confetti Cuts too!

I created this card for the following challenge:

Reverse Confetti SFYTT
